The Salvation Army Equips 9,000+ Employees with FreeConferenceCall.com

Non-Profit Organization Seamlessly Integrates Conferencing Capabilities to Employees Located in 1,600 Operation Centers Across 13 States

Long Beach, CA (July 11, 2007) – Free Conferencing Corporation of America, the leading provider of FREE collaborative communications solutions, today announced that The Salvation Army has selected FreeConferenceCall.com as its primary conferencing service throughout its entire organization. Supporting its operations in the United States, The Salvation Army has four territories, with headquarters in Des Plaines, Illinois; West Nyack, New York; Atlanta, Georgia; and Long Beach, California. FreeConferenceCall.com is used by more than 9,000 employees located in 1,600 centers of operation, across 13 states in the western territory.

In May 2006, The Salvation Army was challenged to reduce its burgeoning teleconference expenditures. Beyond cost reductions, The Salvation Army also required a high quality, easy to use conference bridge service that could scale from a few users to its enterprise-wide organization. After an extensive evaluation, the organization adopted the FreeConferenceCall Enterprise Edition - a service designed for enterprise-level conferencing.

“Audio conferencing plays a pivotal role in the coordination of our business efforts, so we needed a solution that was scalable and easy to use,” stated Clarence White, Chief Information Officer (CIO) for The Salvation Army's US Western Territory. “A ‘must-have’ of the selected solution was its capability to support conference calls with as few as three people on a call, as well as ones involving hundreds of individuals on a single call. The FreeConferenceCall Enterprise Edition gives us this capability.”

The Salvation Army needed to seamlessly integrate the solution with its VoIP network and the FreeConferenceCall.com PSTN (public switched telephone network). With the FreeConferenceCall Enterprise Edition, The Salvation Army receives exclusive, dedicated conference dial-in numbers and access codes with an unlimited number of conferencing accounts.

“The Salvation Army is a large organization that requires an enterprise-level implementation of our free conference call service,” said David Erickson, founder of Free Conferencing Corporation of America. “Through the FreeConferenceCall Enterprise Edition, we are able to provide organizations like The Salvation Army with their own custom phone number that is unique to the organization, as well as individual conference dial-in numbers and access codes for each employee.”

Additional features used by The Salvation Army include free conference recording, muting functionality (on large conference calls), and conference playback. According to Mr. White, the conference recording and playback functionality helps his employees significantly. “If an employee is traveling, he or she can simply download the recording to their PC and retrieve it with the click of a mouse. There is no hassle and there are no extra steps involved.”

Since deploying FreeConferenceCall.com in May 2006, The Salvation Army has recognized numerous benefits - number one has been cost savings. According to Mr. White, the company is saving a significant amount of money on conference calls - sometimes up to $10,000 in a given month, depending on how many calls were made, duration of calls, etc.
