ARF was founded in 2019 in New York City to promote culturally sensitive democracy in Africa,  human rights, food security, sustainable development, and preventative health through entertainment and visual arts,  intellectual forums, and business engagements between Africans in the motherland and descendants of enslaved Africans in the diaspora.
